Sharleen has held executive and managerial roles at Hardline Engineering, Balancing Pool, Statoil Canada, the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO), AltaLink and TransAlta where she had a wide range of opportunities and provided leadership in key areas such as strategy, risk management, business planning, governance, legal, contract negotiations, account management and business development.

She is a dynamic and strategic leader, passionate advocate for women and skilled energy professional with over 25 years of diverse experience in different sectors within the energy industry. Sharleen is the Founder and CEO of Women+Power, a not-for-profit organization to support and empower women women that work in the power industry in Alberta. The organization was established just prior to COVID and has since grown to 400+ members and provides opportunities for members to connect, exchange ideas, share information, learn more about the industry, mentor each other and communicate industry news, events, challenges, and opportunities.
